Mock Up

This is the first mock of the new 45”. Right now not very impressive as it looks more like a beach cruiser than a bobber. The mock up served its purpose though. It made certain the sprinker forks, bars, wheels and fenders all fit without too much pain. It also reiterated how many clamps and straps are needed to compress a springer fork to install the springs. I’m sure there were several instances when we were a fraction away from making the Darwin awards.

Next step is to pair some empty engine cases to the frame to layout the much needed repair of the front motor mount. Once repaired, then it’s off to paint and then hopefully starting some real assembly. In the next few posts I'll list some of the future specs.......engine, wheels, transmission, etc.

This bike will not be period correct. I'm not a purest when it comes to old bikes. If they were really ridden, they we’re tweaked and changed.
